Automated Equipment Aids Die Cast Cleaning & Processing

With more than 80 years of experience, Rosler has developed a wide variety of machines for the forge and foundry industries. When it comes to automated systems, three machines stand out for their versatility and efficiency.
Continuous Wire Mesh Belt Machine
Within Rosler’s continuous shot blasting machine line, the RDGE Continuous Wire Mesh Belt Machine utilizes automation to deliver repeatable shot blasting results for die-casted work pieces.
Work pieces pass through the shot blast area on a wire mesh belt, never touching each other during the shot blast process within the RDGE. As shown in the video, robots load and unload work pieces to reduce the need for human intervention in the continuous process.
Equipped with four or eight direct drive blast turbines, the RDGE 600 features a work area 24 in (60 cm) wide by 10 in (25 cm) tall. With an overall height of less than 15 ft (5 m), its compact design provides greater flexibility in placement and frees up valuable floor space. Optional blow-off chambers and conveyor belt extensions are available to enhance your production requirements. RDGE machines are available with up to 50 in (130 cm) belts.
The RDGE is ideal for shot blasting mid-sized, less complex die cast parts such as cylinder head covers, chassis frame components for cars, transmission housings, oil pans, and lighting components.
Multi-Tumbler Batch Shot Machine
Using a special rotary barrel design, Rosler’s RMT Multi-Tumbling Batch Blast Machine produces excellent blast coverage results. Compared to conventional tumblast machines, these durable units eliminate “pinch points” to prevent damage to sensitive parts.
The RMT features a simple design with few moving parts ensuring high up times and low maintenance costs. Easy automation with custom-made loading and unloading equipment make integration into existing systems a breeze. Plus, with the rotary barrel made of highly wear-resistant manganese steel, RMT machines provide years of reliable service.
Rosler’s RMT machines suit every capacity requirement from 3-34 cu ft (100 to 1000 liters) batch sizes and include a wide choice of blast turbines from 15-75 hp.
Ideal work pieces include relatively small- and mid-sized, sturdy components that can tumble over each other such as brackets, holders, clamps, semi-finished castings, and small gears.
Linear Continuous Flow Vibrator Machines
Rosler’s linear continuous flow vibrator machine offerings include this DA 650 6600
Known as DA models at Rosler, Linear Continuous Flow Vibratory Machines are among the largest and most powerful mass finishing machines available.
Powerful vibratory drive systems are mounted underneath rectangular processing bowls on the DA models and always feature continuous feed processing.
Part input rates and dwell times can be calibrated according to work piece size and sensitivity. Consequently, this technology integrates well into automated process environments.
Ideal work pieces include mid-sized to large, somewhat sturdy die-castings that are not damaged by tumbling over each other including power drill housings, cylinder head covers, oil pans, transmission housings, and disks for automatic transmissions.
