Investor process for German iron foundry TEUTOGUSS started
Hörstel (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany), 01.02.2022: For economic reasons, the management of TEUTOGUSS GmbH applied for the initiation of insolvency proceedings in self-administration on 20 January 2022. The Emsdetten-based lawyer Holger Domeyer from the law firm ALPMANN FRÖHLICH was appointed as preliminary trustee (Sachwalter) and the insolvency law consulting of TEUTOGUSS is carried out by lawyer Eric Coordes from the Münster-based MÖNIG Wirtschaftskanzlei.
After stabilising the business operations, the management has now initiated a structured and result-open search for investors: “The clear objective is to continue the business operations of TEUTOGUSS at the current location,” explains Ralf Koeper in his function as managing director.
“In this context, we can imagine various restructuring options, including the involvement of the sister company Teuto Ofen GmbH & Co. KG.”
“Our focus in the search for investors is aimed at strategic investors, for example from the machine casting sector, for whom TEUTOGUSS, as a classic hand moulding company, could represent a expedient addition. Industrial processors of cast and forged parts in the sense of strategic insourcing are also conceivable,” adds Uwe Borgers from MENTOR AG, which was commissioned with the implementation of the investor search.
TEUTOGUSS produces and supplies high-quality hand-moulded castings in individual production and small series in a range from 200 kg to 15,000 kg.
