CAEF Council web meeting on 22 March 2023
As decided at the CAEF Council last year in Paris (France) we have taken on the challenge to rework our internal governance structure (Bye-Laws) in the course of the last months under the project lead of Chiara Danieli. The legal aspects of the revision has been taken out by Wilfrid Boyault since the Bye-Laws have to be published according to French law. In our virtual Council we want to decide on the new Bye-Laws revision, which you receive in preparation for the coming meeting on Wednesday in the attachment.
During the meeting we will go through the main changes in detail and give room to questions and comments. One of the main changes will be the renaming of the association: European Foundry Federation (EFF) to increase our identification and have better recognition towards politics.
Secondly, the “Board” will replace the “Executive Committee” and the role of the President is redefined.
Lastly, there will be in anticipation of planning a budget increase to fund a 100 % Caretaker stronger dedicated to EU lobbying a differentiation between EU- and Non-EU-members concerning voting rights and involvement in EU matters. This plan has also been discussed at the Paris Council. Attached you hence receive a budget proposal indicating an overall increase of 35 K€ to finance a 100 % Caretaker instead of the current 50 % position of Tillman van de Sand (who is going to leave CAEF at end of June this year).
