Croatian Foundry Association and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce held meeting in the premises of the Ferro-Preis foundry
August 19 2024Representatives of the Croatian Foundry Association (CroFa) and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (CCE) held a multi-hour joint meeting on July 31, 2024. in the premises of the foundry Ferro-Preis doo, Čakovec (PREIS Group). Ljevaonica Ferro-Preis doo was chosen as the host and is one of the larger members within CroFa and CCE.
The following participated in the meeting:
Domagoj Šarić (Head of the Department for Competitiveness of the Economy, Sector for Industry and Sustainable Development), Christian Springer (Senior Expert Advisor and Business Secretary of the Metal Processing Industry Association, Department for Competitiveness of the Economy, Sector for Industry and Sustainable Development), Milorad Vasilić (President of CroFa), Dragutin Ulama (Vice President of CroFa and owner of the DUNI foundry), David Matulin (Director of Finance and Administration of Ferro-Preis doo), Branislav Branković (Director of Foundry Development, Investments and Technology of Ferro-Preis doo and member of the CroFa board).
During an interesting and open conversation, we touched on a number of topics: CroFa’s membership and cooperation with CAEF through HGK, CroFa’s membership in WFO, use of existing tools for members of CCE, deepening of cooperation between CroFa and CCE, with with an emphasis on the problem faced by all foundries in the Republic of Croatia for a long time now, with direct examples of Ferro-Preis doo and the DUNI foundry, with comparative examples from other European/non-European countries in terms of competitiveness as well as certain tools that countries use to help their foundry industry.
We were all extremely glad that we managed to find common and complementary topics at this initial meeting as a basis for further joint efforts to improve the Croatian foundry industry.
