64TH IFC – International Foundry Conference
September 22 2024The Slovenian Foundrymen Society, in collaboration with the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering from Ljubljana and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from Maribor, organized the 64th IFC Portorož 2024 from September 18 to September 20, 2024, under the conference motto:
EDUCATION – COMPETITIVENESS – ENVIRONMENT
This conference allows foundries, suppliers of raw materials and supplies, as well as foundry equipment, higher education institutions, and various institutes to present professional achievements in the development of new technologies, and enables professional companies to exchange their knowledge and experiences.
The conference was attended by 250 participants, including lecturers, foundrymen, and professionals from companies related to various foundry needs.
As the president of the Croatian Foundry Association, I personally attended with the intention of making contact with potential foundrymen and equipment suppliers to join our Association, and to promote the Scientific-Professional Seminar in Trakošćan on March 5 and 6, 2025.
Contacts were established with potential first and second category sponsors as well as possible lecturers for the Seminar in Trakošćan.
From our Association, colleagues Zdenka Zovko Brodarac (Faculty of Metallurgy, Sisak) and Gordana Gojsević Marić (Elkem ASA, Sisak branch) were also present.
The conference was well organized with professional lectures and exhibition panels.
