Dr Katarzyna Liszka Appointed Executive Secretary of the World Foundry Organization as of 2026
March 16 2026The World Foundry Organization is pleased to announce that, as of 2026, Dr Katarzyna Liszka has assumed the position of Executive Secretary.
Dr Katarzyna Liszka has been active in the foundry industry for nearly 20 years, combining technical expertise with strategic and organisational leadership. Since 2005, she has been professionally associated with the Polish Foundrymen’s Association (STOP), where she has served as General Secretary since 2014, responsible for the organisation’s overall management, oversight of financial and human resources, and the implementation of national and international projects.
For many years, she has been actively involved in the World Foundry Organization (WFO), representing STOP as a member organization. She is also involved in the WFO Management Working Group and, since 2025, has served as a member of the WFO Strategy Group, co-creating the organization’s strategic development directions at the global level. In 2018, she coordinated the organization of the 73rd WFO World Foundry Congress in Krakow, Poland.
She serves on numerous organizing committees of World Foundry Congresses and national and international technical and scientific conferences, actively building relationships between industry, academia, and public institutions. She is the initiator of the “The FemPower in Metalcasting – Passion and Success” competition, which aims to increase the visibility of Polish women in the sector and foster a more inclusive professional environment.
