Seminar 2026 held in Trakošćan

Organized by the Croatian Foundry Association  and with the support of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the companies ELKEM ASA, FEAL-INŽENIRING, TCT Tesic  and under the patronage of the Varaždin County and the Municipality of Bednja, one more extremely successful two-day International Scientific and Professional Seminar entitled:

We live with metallurgy now and in the future

During the first day, a visit was organized with 70 interested colleagues to the Presecki Oldtimer Museum in Krapina city and in nearby, Klet Presecki. After relaxing and interesting visits, the Croatian Foundry Association organized presentation of company JB-modelarija and a dinner with live music and a socializing  with around 100 members and non-members of our Association. At the beginning of the second day of the Seminar, which brought together around 150 experts in the field of foundry, namely metallurgists, machinists, chemists and others from various related professions and activities from as many as 14 European countries, the guests were greeted with appropriate words by the Vice President of the Association, Dragutin Ulama, and the President of the Croatian Foundry Association, Milorad Vasilić, who officially opened the Seminar.

A series of exactly 21 interesting, commercial and professional lectures began with an introductory presentation by Mr. Goran Šaravanje from the Sector for Industry and Sustainable Development, Zagreb Chamber of Commerce. After all the lectures, with short planned breaks for refreshments and a break from dedicated and continuous work, a special lunch and socializing was held.

We would like to thank you all the sponsors of our Seminar, all the presenters and attendees. We are very proud that in this turbulent and crisis times (2,5 years duration) we have gathered an excellent array of foundries from more different countries, in total 19 foundries.
