Seminar held in Trakošćan

Organized by the Croatian Foundry Association , and with the support of the Zagreb Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Varaždin County Chamber, the companies ELKEM ASA, METAL PRODUCT doo, FEAL-INŽENIRING doo and FOSECO – FOUNDRY SERVICE COMPANY, and under the patronage of the Varaždin County and the Municipality of Bednja, another extremely successful and so far most attended two-day International Scientific and Professional Seminar entitled:
“Metallurgy of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Alloys in the 21st Century”
During the first day, a visit was organized with about 60 interested colleagues to the beautiful Trakošćan Castle. After the aforementioned visit, the Croatian Foundry Association organized a dinner with live music (the Three Musketeers band) and a socializing of slightly more than 100 members and non-members of our Association on the same day. At the beginning of the second day of the Seminar, which brought together over 170 experts in the field of foundry, namely metallurgists, machinists, chemists and others from various related professions and activities from as many as 14 European countries, the guests were greeted with appropriate words by the Vice President of the Association, Dragutin Ulama, and then the attendees were addressed by the President of the Varaždin County Chamber – HGK, dipl.ing.mech. Dragutin Gložinić, the Mayor of the Bednja Municipality Damir Poljak and the President of the Croatian Foundry Association, Milorad Vasilić, who also greeted all those present and officially opened the Seminar.
A series of exactly twenty interesting, commercial and professional lectures began with an introductory presentation by Mr. Goran Šaravanje from the Sector for Industry and Sustainable Development, Zagreb Chamber of Commerce. After all the lectures, with short planned breaks for refreshments and a break from dedicated and continuous work, a special lunch and socializing was held.
We would like to thank all the sponsors of our Seminar, all the presenters and attendees. We are proud that in this turbulent and crisis-hit time we have gathered an excellent array of foundries from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.

Seminar time and location this year are excellent, I wouldn’t mind if we repeat seminar at this location near Trakošćan castle in the future. I noticed more participants this year then previous years, even we increased our presence in numbers this year. Hopefully we’ll see each other next year in even greater numbers. All praise to the organizers.

Although this is only the third seminar organized by the Croatian Foundry Association, the seminar was at a very high level both in organizational and professional terms, as well as in warmth. I would like to share my impressions from the International Scientific-Professional Seminar in Trakošćan, where our company PSR had the honor to participate. This traditional event grows more each year, both in the number of exhibitors and visitors, and in the quality of content. For our company PSR, this is one of the key professional events in the region, so we pay special attention to it. This year, we had two presentations that attracted a large number of visitors, and the reactions were extremely positive. The seminar was exceptionally organized and located in a pleasant setting, which created the perfect environment for networking and a great atmosphere. Great praise to the organizers for an event that clearly demonstrates high ambitions and excellent organization.
