Successful Seminar

In the organization of the Croatian Foundry Association, and with the support of HGK Zagreb and the County Chambers of Varaždin and Čakovec, companies Elkem and Metal Product, it was held yesterday, on March 3rd 2023 in Varaždin, in Hotel Turist, an extremely successful and well-attended one-day International Scientific and Professional seminar entitled:

“PRODUCTION OF IRON AND AL ALLOY CASTINGS IN SAND AND PERMANENT MOLDS”

At the beginning of the Seminar, which gathered 112 experts from the field of foundry; metallurgists, chemists and others from various related professions and activities from 11 European countries, the President of the Association Milorad Vasilić greeted the guests with appropriate words, and then the President of the Varaždin County Chamber – HGK, dipl.ing.mech. Dragutin Gložinić, and the mayor of Varaždin, Ph.D. Marigold Basil.

A series of interesting and expert lectures began with a presentation by Mrs. Marija Šutina from the Sector for Industry and Sustainable Development, HGK Zagreb. In our Program, you can see all the names of lectures and presenting companies. After all the lectures, with short planned breaks for refreshments and a break from the dedicated work, a special lunch was held with the socializing of all present.

We hereby thanks to all sponsors of our Seminar, all presenters and attendees. We are proud to have gathered 16 foundries from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Serbia.

I once again use the opportunity to thank you on behalf of the metal core of Čakovec as well as in my personal name, I thank you again for the invitation. Not only did the seminar fulfill our expectations, but it has greatly exceeded them. A large number of exhibitors from the wider region have proven in their presentations and showed their competence and expertise. As a development-educational center and as a scientific research organization, we had the opportunity to present much of what we have, what we know and what we mostly deal with for the further development and progress of our center of exceptional importance. Although at first glance it could be thought that left -wing and additive technologies do not have much in common, we could see on concrete examples that this is a complete misunderstanding and that there is certainly the potential for successful cooperation. This after the seminar, in a pleasant socializing and talking to other exhibitors and confirmed. We have established some valuable contacts that we are convinced will bring about fertile collaboration.

We are extremely pleased to emphasize that we are already looking forward to the next event.

What a positive energy, you can see that the founders work and invest in new processes, new technologies, work on savings of time and energy wherever they can and are willing to share knowledge and advise colleagues from the industry. Even at a seminar at a coffee break and my colleague explains to me what kind of problem I have, and I poke my finger at a third who is the same on the coffee break and tell my colleague ask her/him is the main thing for him for such things, he or she will surely know how to handle it.
