Investor sought for steel and stainless steel casting specialist BISCHOFF
December 18 2021Lüdinghausen, 17.12.2021: For economic reasons, the management of Bischoff Stahl- und Edelstahlguss GmbH (‚BISCHOFF‘) had to file for insolvency proceedings at the end of November 2021. Münster-based lawyer Michael Mönig from the law firm MÖNIG Wirtschaftskanzlei Partnerschaft mbB Rechtsanwälte was appointed as the preliminary insolvency administrator.
Following the stabilisation of business operations, the preliminary insolvency administrator has now initiated a structured search for investors: “The clear objective is the continuation of BISCHOFF’s business operations, preferably at the current location,” explains Mönig.
“Our focus in the process of finding investors is on strategic investors from the field of casting, whereby we are concentrating in particular on the topic of steel casting,” adds Uwe Borgers from MENTOR AG, which was commissioned to implement the search for investors. “In this context, we can imagine a good fit of BISCHOFF’s business operations, especially as a sales and service unit, to a larger, internationally positioned market companion.”
“Our company is not only of interest as a production location with a high level of competence, especially for high-alloy materials and a large number of industry-specific approvals,” adds Thomas Jung, Commercial Managing Director of BISCHOFF. “Thus, in recent years, we have further developed a second mainstay as an internationally active trading house for high-quality cast steel products, which are refined for our customers as required right up to the ready-to-install end product.”
